Acne Treatment

Your number 1 goal is to keep acne from forming. This is first and foremost. Once you get an acne blemish, there's not much you can do except prevent it from getting any worse. The most important thing anyone can do for their skin is to be consistent in their gentle acne regimen. If you normally get acne breakouts - that is, if your skin is "acne prone", you have to accept the fact that you have to consistently treat your skin even if you don't have any active acne blemishes. While this is unfortunate, it is manageable. You'll find that once you accept it and learn that you have to manage your skin that it is OK and you can have clear skin. It is possible.

First, you must be patient in finding what works for you. Find that gentle cleanser that cleans your skin and one that doesn't include ingredients that irritate YOU or that contains alcohol (which will dry out your natural oil and cause further acne).

Second, you must be gentle with your treatment (no more of the aggressive cleansing and scrubbing you did as a teenager.)

Next exfoliate!!!! Again, gently. And, do it according to your skin type. See our information page for more information on how often you need to exfoliate.

Finally, use a low concentration benzoyl peroxide treatment. No more using the 10% solutions!!!

That's it!!!! Be consistent and you'll find the clear skin you have so desired!!
