How to Treat Acne
You don't want acne in the first place. If you get a pimple, the best thing you can do is to stop it from getting worse. And, in order to do that, you need to keep up with your acne regimen. The good news is is that it is easy to do. If you have problem skin, you will need to be vigilant in your skin care - even if you don't have an active outbreak. But, don't despair. It is still something that is controllable. Learn how to care for your skin and accept what you'll need to do to manage your problem skin. You'll see that is is very possible to have the clear skin you deserve and have so longed for.
The most important thing you can do is be patient and figure out what is best for your skin. Find a cleanser that washes your skin but that doesn't irritate it. You don't want anything that contains alcohol as this will dry you out and actually make your skin produce more oil...thus, more acne! Then, be gentle with your skin. You don't need to scrub hard like you may have done when you were younger.
My next recommendation, of course, is to exfoliate. Be gentle. Do it according to the type of skin you have. See our information page to find out how often you will need to exfoliate your skin: Nutt So Ruff FAQ's
Next, use a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment in a low concentration - something like 2.5% or 5% is usually sufficient.
You will soon see that this is all it can take to keep your skin clear and your self esteem high!
